Since 1953, Ørskov Copenhagen has created uncompromising design objects for Danish and international homes — driven by a clear ambition to unite aesthetics, functionality, and responsibility. The company was founded by Torben Ørskov with a vision of designing everyday objects in beautifully balanced colors and with understated, functional elegance. Drawing on experience from both a department store and a wholesale design company in the United States, he brought an international outlook and an intuitive understanding of contemporary aesthetics. The result was collections that combine the practical with the poetic — designs created to bring daily joy while maintaining relevance across generations.
From the very beginning, Torben Ørskov collaborated with some of Denmark’s most influential designers and architects, including Jørn Utzon and Finn Juhl. These partnerships resulted in innovative yet timeless designs where architectural precision met organic sensibility. Several of these works have since achieved iconic status and gained international recognition. The distinctive red and white logo, designed by Jørn Utzon in 1952, remains a subtle yet powerful symbol of the brand’s origin and integrity.
